What not to do during your boudoir experience

As much as there’s lot of pre-planning to think about before your boudoir session for self care, there’s also things NOT to do before your session. So I wanted to write a quick blog post companion to my last post, this time talking about What Not to Do During Your Boudoir Experience!

Keeping these things in mind will overall make your boudoir experience a 10/10!

1. No crash dieting to prep for your session - you are perfect the way you are, and crash dieting is not good for your health! I want to hold space for you to honor your health every step of the way, and that includes the prep! Eat as healthy as you want, but please don’t feel the need to do any crazy dieting.

2. No mind-altering substances the day of your session (alcohol, marijuana, etc) – anxiety might be creeping in, but that's why you hired an inclusive boudoir photographer who will take care of you start to finish. Trust the process!

3. Not reading the preparation tips your boudoir photographer sends you - as you can read here, and here, and here, I really want you to feel as prepared as possible. If you have any questions, I am here to help. Think of me as your personal wing woman for any nerves!

4. Wearing lingerie pieces that don't speak to you or because you feel pressured to do so - here at As You Are Boudoir, we are allllll about wearing what YOU want.

5. Allowing negative comments from others to hold space - this is a positive experience and others' criticisms aren't welcome here. I invite you to dismiss any negative comments from others (or your own mind!)

Some of these seem a bit self explanatory, but I really wanted you to know what not to do during your boudoir experience, so you feel fully prepared. See you in the studio!!
